You must undergo a medical examination before becoming an ambulance driver. The medical examination will include a general physical examination and an eye examination. The DVLA will issue a provisional C1 license once these tests have been approved

Theory Test & Hazard Perception

You must pass the C1 HGV theory test and the hazard perception test as part of the next step. A comprehensive set of study materials is provided by Craig Baker Driver Training. If you require theory test preparation lessons, we can provide them. As soon as you feel confident, we will be able to book your test at one of the DVSA's official test centres. As soon as you have completed your theory test, you can begin taking practical driving lessons to become an ambulance driver.

Practical C1 Ambulance Driving Test

You will then need to prepare for your 3A practical reversing test. You will be instructed by our professional instructors on how to perform the reversing exercise. Once you have completed this process, you will begin driving on the road and preparing for your 3B practical driving test.

Once you have passed the 3B test you will be fully qualified to drive ambulances up to 7.5ton
