To become an ambulance driver, you must undergo a medical examination. The medical examination will include a general physical examination and an eye examination. A provisional C1 license will be issued by the DVLA once these tests have been approved

Theory Test & Hazard Perception

As part of the next step, you will have to pass the C1 HGV theory test and the hazard perception test. A comprehensive set of study materials is provided by Craig Baker Driver Training. If you require theory test preparation lessons, we can provide them. As soon as you feel confident, we will be able to book your test at one of the DVSA's official test centres. The lessons for driving an ambulance can begin as soon as you have completed your theory tests.

Practical C1 Ambulance Driving Test

The next step is to prepare for your 3A practical reversing test. You will be instructed by our professional instructors on how to perform the reversing exercise. Following the completion of this process, you will be able to drive on the road and prepare for your 3B practical driving test.

Once you have passed the 3B test you will be fully qualified to drive ambulances up to 7.5ton
