Before you can drive an ambulance, you must undergo a medical examination. As part of this medical, a general physical examination and an eye examination are required. DVLA will issue a provisional C1 license once these tests are approved

Theory Test & Hazard Perception

Preparation for the C1 HGV theory test and the hazard perception test will be the next step. Craig Baker Driver Training provides all the study materials you need. We can also provide theory test preparation lessons if you need them. The DVSA offers a number of official test centers where we can book your test once you feel confident. We can help you with this too. As soon as you have passed your theory tests, you can begin learning how to drive an ambulance.

Practical C1 Ambulance Driving Test

Preparing for the 3A practical reversing test is the next step. You will be instructed by our professional instructors on how to perform the reversing exercise. Once this process is complete, you will be able to drive on the road and prepare for the 3B practical driving test.

Once you have passed the 3B test you will be fully qualified to drive ambulances up to 7.5ton
